1. Launch Time of Tianwen-2 Confirmed

The engineering mission command headquarters has made a comprehensive research and decision. The Tianwen-2 mission of the Planetary Exploration Project is scheduled to be launched on May 29.

At present, at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, all preparatory work for the mission is advancing steadily. The Long March 3B Yao-110 carrier rocket performing this launch is about to be fueled with propellants.

2. CGN Yantai Zhaoyuan 400MW Offshore Photovoltaic Project Fully Connected to the Grid

In the Bohai Laizhou Bay, a blue matrix composed of 760,000 offshore photovoltaic modules continuously outputs electrical energy. The CGN Yantai Zhaoyuan 400MW Offshore Photovoltaic Project achieved full-capacity grid connection on May 27, with an annual power generation of nearly 700 million kilowatt-hours.

3. Chinese Scientists Develop FLARE, a Large Model for Astronomical Flare Prediction

The Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the National Astronomical Observatories of CAS have jointly developed FLARE, a large model for astronomical flare prediction, based on the one-stop intelligent research platform ScienceOne. This provides a brand-new tool for astronomical research. By leveraging AI technology, the model has overcome the challenge of stellar flare prediction with an accuracy exceeding 70%, offering a new approach to exploring the mysteries of the universe.

4. Global First Self-Propelled Water-Naturally-Exchanged Deep-Sea Aquaculture Vessel "Wanqu Lingding" Launched Successfully

The world's first self-propelled water-naturally-exchanged deep-sea aquaculture vessel "Wanqu Lingding" was successfully launched in Jiangmen, Guangdong, marking a new era of "scientific marine ranching" for China's deep-sea aquaculture. The entire vessel has a breeding space of nearly 80,000 cubic meters, equivalent to the water volume of 32 standard swimming pools, providing a vast free-swimming space for fish and enhancing the vitality of fry and the quality of fish meat. After completion, "Wanqu Lingding" can produce 5,000 tons of fish annually, serving as an important source for the Greater Bay Area to achieve "fish consumption freedom".

5. Shanghai's First Multimodal Large Model in Transportation Sector Debuts, Expected to Boost Intersection Traffic Efficiency by 15%

On May 27, Shanghai officially released "Tongda", the first multimodal large model in the transportation sector, focusing on solving urban traffic congestion and management efficiency challenges. By integrating video surveillance and IoT data analysis capabilities, the model can dynamically optimize traffic signal schemes. Pilot data shows that intersection traffic efficiency has increased by approximately 15%, injecting an "intelligent brain" into smart traffic management.
