1. Global Sci-Tech Literature Data Platform Launched, with Nearly 90 Million Literature Entries Included

On July 2nd, China's globally-oriented sci-tech literature data platform (dbdata.com), which boasts full independent intellectual property rights, was officially released in Beijing. Developed by Dongbi Sci-Tech Data, the platform has collected nearly 90 million high-quality sci-tech literature metadata entries from around the world and integrated AI functions. It will provide services such as efficient literature retrieval, citation analysis, and data tracking, with its basic functions open to global users free of charge.

2. Shanghai Jiao Tong University's AI Agent "ML-Master" Tops OpenAI Test

The AI expert agent proposed by the Agents team from Shanghai Jiao Tong University won a top player in the AI industry, and claimed the championship in OpenAI's authoritative benchmark test MLE-bench!

OpenAI packaged 75 real projects from Kaggle competitions and top conferences (such as CVPR), requiring AI to complete the entire process of coding, parameter tuning, and submission from scratch like human engineers.

Test results show that Shanghai Jiao Tong University's "ML-Master" topped the list with an average medal rate of 29.3%, ahead of Microsoft's RD-Agent (22.4%) and OpenAI's AIDE (16.9%). It has reached the level of human "Grandmaster" in Kaggle competitions.

3. COFCO Group: Self-Developed Enzymatic Production of D-Allulose Approved as New Food Ingredient

The National Health Commission has officially approved the allulose produced by COFCO's self-developed enzymatic process as a new food ingredient, making the company the first enterprise in China to obtain approval through this process.

Allulose has significant health benefits, as it can effectively inhibit postprandial blood glucose and fat synthesis. In the future, it will be widely used in various fields such as beverages, baking, and dairy products. It is expected that with technological progress and capacity expansion, the production cost of allulose will gradually decrease.

4. Alibaba Cloud to Establish First Global AI Capability Center

Alibaba Cloud will add new data centers in Malaysia and the Philippines, expanding its global infrastructure layout to 29 regions and 90 availability zones. Among them, the third availability zone in Malaysia was officially launched on July 1st, and the second availability zone in the Philippines is scheduled to be put into use in October this year, further meeting the growing demand for cloud computing and AI overseas.

At the same time, Alibaba Cloud will establish its first global AI capability center. It plans to join hands with more than 1,000 enterprises to build over 10 industry AI demonstration projects and cooperate with more than 120 universities worldwide to train 100,000 AI talents every year.

5. China's First AI Food Delivery Vehicle Debuts in Wuhan, Enabling Intelligent Management of Vehicle-Person Binding

Recently, China's first food delivery vehicle equipped with an "AI brain" — the Zhiyin Vehicle — made its debut in Hanyang District, Wuhan, along with the simultaneous release of the country's first dedicated license plate management system for instant delivery.

According to the person in charge of the Social Work Department of Hanyang District Committee, the vehicle is equipped with a Beidou dual-frequency chip, enabling intelligent management of vehicle-person binding, and features multiple functions such as identity recognition, automatic speed reduction, route optimization, and full-process traceability.
