1. Chinese Academy of Sciences Releases Series of Research Results on Chang'e-6 Lunar Samples

The Chinese Academy of Sciences has released a series of research results on the Chang'e-6 lunar samples, with four significant studies published as cover articles in the international academic journal Nature. These results reveal the lunar far-side magmatic activity, the ancient lunar magnetic field, the water content in the lunar mantle, and the evolutionary characteristics of the lunar mantle, respectively. They allow people to understand the evolutionary history of the lunar far side for the first time, provide key evidence for solving the mystery of the moon's "dichotomy," and further refresh humanity's cognitive framework of the evolution of celestial bodies in the solar system.

2. Tianzhou-8 Cargo Spacecraft Successfully Departs from Space Station Complex

At 15:09 on the afternoon of July 8, the Tianzhou-8 cargo spacecraft successfully departed from the space station complex and entered the independent flight phase. It will choose an opportunity to conduct a controlled re-entry into the atmosphere in the near future. Most of the components of the cargo spacecraft will be ablated and destroyed during the re-entry into the atmosphere, and a small amount of debris will fall into the predetermined safe sea area.

3. International Deep Space Exploration Society Established in Hefei

The International Deep Space Exploration Society, China's first international science and technology organization in the field of deep space exploration, was established in Hefei, Anhui Province. Approved by the Chinese government, initiated by China's scientific and technological community, and co-founded with the participation of global research institutions and scientists, this society is also the first international organization settled in Anhui.

4. Experts Develop Non-Invasive Blood Sodium Monitoring Technology

Researchers from Tianjin University have developed a new terahertz photoacoustic system. This system overcomes water interference, eliminates the need for blood drawing or labeling, and enables real-time measurement of sodium levels in living mice. The paper on this achievement has been published in the optical journal Optica.

The research team at Tianjin University has developed a detection system that combines photoacoustic detection with terahertz spectroscopy technology, allowing for long-term non-invasive monitoring of blood sodium concentration. The system emits terahertz waves through a modular system, which excites the vibration of sodium ions in the blood to generate ultrasonic waves, and the signals are captured by an ultrasonic transducer. This photoacoustic detection technology converts the absorbed terahertz energy into sound waves, effectively overcoming the strong absorption interference of water molecules on terahertz waves, and can monitor the blood sodium concentration of living mice for a long time without labeling.

5. China's Smart Lawn Mower Robots Export Volume Exceeds $1 Billion in Q1

Chinese smart lawn mower robots have successfully entered the European and American markets relying on technological innovation. The boundary-free lawn mower robots developed by domestic enterprises not only support intelligent functions such as "lawn printing" but also achieve market breakthroughs with price advantages. In the first quarter of 2025, the export volume reached $1.01 billion, a year-on-year increase of nearly 60%. A brand manager of a Shenzhen-based enterprise revealed that its products have ranked first in sales on online platforms in Germany, France, and the United States, with a price only half of that of traditional models.
